Greetings
Men and woman in Qatar only shake hands with people of their same gender. If they are close friends they might kiss on the cheek, they do that as a warm greeting to show respect.

Dress
Men and woman in Qatar wear traditional clothing that covers their entire body. Men wear a white thobe, which is a full length cotton robe, and a white ghurtu. Woman cover their clothing with a black abaya, which is an ankle length cloak, out in public places.
