Qatar has a desert climate, long summers with hot days and cool nights. Winters are short and mild with little rainfall. Also, this region is prone to dust storms.

Natural Resources
Qatar has natural gas and crude oil. They have nearly 26 trillion cubic meters of natural gas which is the third largest in the world, they also have oil resources and there are 15.2 billion barrels worth.
Landmarks |
From the third millennium BC, there are grave mounds near Umm Salal Ali, but most of Qatar's landmarks have to deal with the struggles of the modern era. The peninsula has a lot of defensive forts, one of the most famous forts is the Al Wajbah fort where the Turks were defeated in AD 1893.

Tips for visitors
Make sure to bring clothing that you won't get too hot in, but still make sure it is appropriate and doesn't show to much skin. Qatar is known for their hot temperatures, but they still dress with mostly all their skin covered. People who visit usually come at a time other then the rest period after lunch.
